Labour is calculated by Multiplying the length of time it will take to do the repairs by the Hourly Rate
This component comes with the drum brake system and is located at the rear wheels. The brake shoe presses against the brake drums when you apply the brake pedal, causing enough friction that helps to bring your car to a halt. On normal use, the brake shoes often last twice as long as the pads.
Note:
– This component is not replaced singly. Thus both brake shoes at the rear wheels are replaced when carrying out this service
– Brake shoe damage may also be caused by damaged brake drums and leaky wheel cylinder, in which case the latter components should also be replaced.
Check for leaks in the brake master cylinder
Inspect the brake booster
Remove faulty brake master cylinder and replace with new one
Change the brake fluid
Bleed out air from the braking system
Ensure brake fluids on wheels are cleaned
Ensure optimal performance and safety of the braking system.
The braking system in your car is vitally important for safe and comfortable driving. Working dysfunctionally, your brakes could put you at risk of accidents. Replacing components such as the brake master cylinder in time prevents more expensive repairs down the line.
Your brake master cylinder may be due for replacement when:
– The brake warning light comes on
– Leakage of the brake fluid occurs
– The brake pedal becomes soft
Our Recommendation:
The brake fluid should be inspected when servicing your car. Brake fluid leaks can usually cause softer brake pedals. Checking the master cylinder and brake hoses will inform the cause of the problem. The brake warning light will usually remain on when there is considerable loss of brake fluid.
